Dreaming of warmer weather? Surrounded by a lot of snow and frigid temperatures?
I've got your fix. Warm up with this spicy cranberry margarita! The 'spice' will warm you up, the cranberry adds the flavor of winter, and the sippin' a margarita part will, well, make you happy!
Ingredients:
Tequila
Jalapeño
Lime
Cranberry Juice
Triple Sec
Margarita Salt
How To:
This first step is optional depending on your preference of spice. Find a good jar that you can store your tequila in, a mason jar is perfect. I used 3 shots worth of tequila. Place your diced jalapeño into the jar with the tequila. The ratio of jalapeño and tequila is depending on your spice level. Don't get cocky like I did, a little jalapeño goes a long way! As you're making your margarita, if you find it to be too spicy, add more tequila to your jar and it will help offset the spice. Let soak overnight or even for a few hours.
Use your lime to rub over the top of your glass then rub into your margarita salt. I used a lime margarita salt.
Place 1.5 oz tequila in your mixer (1.5 oz is typically a full shot glass). If you chose not to infuse your tequila, you can add a few jalapeno slices into your mixer and use a muddler to crush for flavor.
Add in 1 oz triple sec.
Add 2-3 oz cranberry juice.
Squeeze in half a lime.
Gently shake and pour over ice. If you are using a glass that won't hold ice, add ice to your shaker to chill while you shake.
Enjoy!
