We're slowly beginning to see signs of Spring and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious margarita!
Ingredients (this is for 2 margaritas):
4 Cara Cara oranges (or 2 large navel)
1 lime
3 oz tequila (silver)
1.5 oz triple sec
1 jalapeño, sliced
Sparking Water (orange)
Shaker Cup

Instructions (you don't necessarily need to follow in this order):
Slice your jalapeño and drop into shaker cup. The amount you add is entirely up to your desired spiciness.
Add 3 oz tequila.
Muddle the jalapeños in the tequila. You can use a spoon if you don't have a muddler. I like to do this to help the juices of the jalapeño mix with the tequila for a nice spicy flavor.
Add 1.5 oz triple sec
Slice your lime in half. Before squeezing the juice into the shaker, use the lime to rim your glass and then roll in salt. I used a citrus jalapeno salt.
Squeeze the lime juice into the shaker.
Slice your oranges in half and squeeze juice into the shaker cup.
Throw a few ice cubes in then shake the ingredients together.
Pour into your glass and then top it with your sparkling water of choice. I'm using an orange sparkling water.
If you're feeling fancy, add a slice of an orange and jalapeño to your drink.
Sip & Enjoy!
Here's a really cool video my husband made of me making our margaritas! Hoping he can make more videos like this for me in the future!
