Summer: Eyes. Lips. Face

Let's chat makeup. In this post I'm going to share with you my make-up routine, with a focus on my go-to summer look. Everything I'm using is from elf cosmetics and it's all cruelty free and vegan. And a bonus, it's all incredibly budget friendly but still really great quality!

You can check out this video I made that walks through everything I use. This is not a makeup tutorial (trust me, you don't want me doing one of those!), but more so just me showing you how I use the products. You can also see all the individual items shared below.

Face:

Primer: Vitamin C Brightening Primer Putty. My go-to in the warmer months to brighten my skin for a natural glow.

Bronzer: Putty Brozer in the color Tan Lines. I like to use this under my foundation. It still adds a nice glow around my face but it gives a more subtle look which is what I personally prefer. You can certainly add this after your foundation.

BB Cream: I use a BB cream in the summer in place of a foundation. It's lighter weight and this is the color Nude. It's a tab darker than my natural color but it' my perfect shade in the summer months when I have my skin gets a little tan. I like to mix this with the sun-kissed booster drops to provide my skin a glow and more hydration.

Highlighter: I'm currently obsessed with this Jelly Highlighter in the color Cloud. A little bit goes a long way and I personally find it so pretty. Sometimes I apply this under my foundation, that way I can mellow it out if I feel the need.

Blush: My favorite! I'm using the Luminous Putty Blush in the shade Maldives. I have these in multiple colors because it's just so gorgeous. The luminous putty blushes have a nice shimmer to them but you can also go with their regular putty blush if you want more of a matte look (I have those too!).

Lips:

Not featured in the video is my go-to lip color. It's the Hydrating Core Lip Shine. I love this because it offers hydration for my lips, similar to a lip balm, and it gives a nice natural color. I use shade Happy.

Eyes:

Eye Primer: I use the Eye Putty Primer in shade cream. It helps keep your eye makeup on longer and prevents creasing.

Brows: I like to keep things really simple so my go-to is the Wow Brow. I have two colors: taupe and brunette. In the warmer months I lean towards taupe to go with my lighter hair and in the cooler months I use brunette to go with my darker hair color. This is so easy to use and you can apply a couple coats if needed.

Eye Shadow: I have been loving the No Budge Shadow Sticks. Easy to apply, can apply multiple coats if needed and can also use multiple colors. I'm using Champagne Crystal for this look and I love that it offers a neutral look with lots of shimmer.

Mascara: I start with the Clear Lash Mascara Primer to coat my lashes then I'm using the Big Mood mascara afterwards. I love using the primer because it allows the mascara to coat more naturally and it gives a fuller look.

And that is a super simple summer look of mine. I absolutely love elf cosmetics makeup. It's easy to use and they have a brush that goes with easy item making everything smooth and beautiful! Again, I'm no expert in makeup and I personally always like the less is more look. The video above is simply to share what and how I use these products.
